Dear World,
I am writing this so I can remember an event on January 12, Wednesday. I know I should have written this on that day, but I am a tired idiot.
It was cold that day and had just stopped snowing. I just finished a 10-hour shift that day and was about to drive home in the family van. My brother and father was in the car with me.
However, when my brother tried to start the van, it wouldn't work.
Several retries... nothing. The car's battery had died.
It was quite a dilemma. It would have been easy just taking the bus and train home, but my father had the gout - he wasn't walking anytime soon.
If the car didn't start, we'd have to travel to my mother's work, get the keys, travel home, get the other car, and drive back to my work to pick up my father.
I was tired. This wasn't going to be a good end to the day.
Out of nowhere, this woman came to our van.
She was wearing a white shirt, a blue cap and jeans, listening to something with both earphones on. Her truck was two slots next to us.
She worked for a dog-poop scooping company.
She asked to try to start it again so she could hear what was wrong with our car. We did, and she said that it was due to a dead battery.
The woman then offered to jump-start it with her own battery from her truck. She did, and we were able to run the van again, thanks to her.
That was too convenient to be a coincidence.
My dad had the gout, can't walk, the van suddenly won't work, and out comes a person with a solution.
I told my father and brother she was an angel.
I was too shy to thank her more, but now I think about and pray for her every time.
They always say God works in mysterious ways, and that God's work would always come from the most unexpected places and people.
What could be more mysterious or unexpected than 'Scooby's Poop-And-Scoop'?
So, Thank You, God.
That was pretty awesome.
